Please note that from 20th September the number of constituents in the German DAX index (underlying asset of the GER30) will increase from 30 to 40. A total of 10 new companies are getting included into the index in order to display a more balanced view of the German economy.
The list of new constituents includes: Airbus SE, Brenntag SE, HelloFresh SE, Sartorius AG (Pref shares), Siemens Healthineers AG, Porsche SE, Puma SE, Qiagen, Symrise AG, and Zalando SE.
Kindly note that the price of the German DAX index is not going to change, the update will merely rebalance the weight of the different companies that altogether constitute the numerical value of the index. The previous 30 members lose part of their weight in favour of the new members.
For the moment ThinkMarkets does not plan a name change for our GER30 CFD product. In case of an update in the coming months, you will be duly notified. Do note that any name change to reflect the new constituents does not affect the price either.
