MARKET WRAP: European Stocks Closed Higher


Stocks ended the week on a higher note, S&P500 experienced the biggest gain for the week. 



Stocks

  • The S&P 500 jumped 0.2 percent at 15:54 London Time. It’s gained 2.5 percent in the week.
  • The Nasdaq 100 Index rose 0.22 percent. The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up by 0.26 percent.
  • The Stoxx Europe 600 Index increased by 0.6 percent, ended the week higher.
  • The MSCI Asia Pacific Index gained 0.7 percent.
Currencies
  • The Dollar Spot Index dropped 0.25 percent.
  • The Euro jumped nearly 0.26 percent to $1.1326.
  • The British pound dropped 0.09 percent to $1.3269.
  • New Zealand’s dollar gained 0.3 percent to $0.6854
Bonds
  • The yield on 10-year Treasuries plunged by five basis points to 2.59 percent.
  • Britain’s 10-year yield dropped by one basis point to 1.213 percent.
  • Germany’s 10-year yield remained flat at 0.08 percent.
Commodities
  • Brent crude fell 0.8 percent to $58.40 a barrel, the largest drop in a week.
  • Gold jumped 0.53 percent to $1,304 an ounce
