What's global risk-on I hear you ask? That would be stocks, commodities, and currencies like the Australian Dollar. Why?

Debt ceiling concerns. That's an obvious one. But with a little luck this pesky item will be resolved sooner rather than later. The big issue (and emphasis on the word 'big') remains China. The boom which was supposed to be the reopening hasn't materialized. Worse still, the property sector remains a festering sore on the ailing patient which is the global growth outlook.

But that doesn't mean there aren't opportunities in markets. There are assets which do better when when markets skew to risk-off, and you can always short the risk-on cohort. So, when watching today's replay, consider whether the glass is half full or half empty, and exactly what you intend to do about it!
