CFD positions on indices and equities are subject to dividend adjustments. Here’s how we make these adjustments to your open trades.
An index is comprised of equities, also known as constituents. Equities pay dividends to shareholders and when that happens, this has an effect on the value of the index.
In the case that you have an open position on an index or equity, when a dividend adjustment takes please, here is how we deal with it.
The adjustments are either credited or debited to your open positions at the underlying market close time one day prior to the ex-div date.
These are displayed as a separate journal entry (deposit or withdrawal) in your trading account.
