About the £1 million insurance
Under the current regulation, all funds held at an FCA regulated broker are protected up to £50,000 via the FSCS scheme. At ThinkMarkets, we think industry standard is not enough.
We have been offering above industry standard security of funds to retail and professional traders through an exclusive £1 Million insurance scheme since 2016. This additional insurance offers traders financial security on top of the compensation provided by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), which is a last resort for traders of FCA regulated brokers in case the broker becomes insolvent.
This insurance scheme is underwritten by the Lloyds of London insurers and comes at no extra cost to the ThinkMarkets traders. From their beginning in 1688, Lloyd’s of London has become the world’s leader in specialist insurance over the past 325 years.
