Markets have taken a U-turn today and moved in the negative territory. All the gains from morning trading have evaporated
These are the main moves in markets:
Stocks
- The S&P 500 was down 0.3 percent as of 3.15 p.m. in London.
- The Stoxx Europe 600 Index dropped 0.5 percent.
- The MSCI All-Country World Index was little changed.
- The MSCI Emerging Market Index jumped 1.2 percent to the highest in almost a month.
Currencies
- The Dollar Spot Index dropped further 0.4 percent to the lowest since October.
- The euro jumped 0.5 percent to $1.1448, the biggest gain in more a week.
Commodities
- West Texas Intermediate crude continued its rally and advanced 1.4 percent to $48.62 a barrel, its sixth consecutive gain.
- Gold surged 0.5 percent to $1,292.33 an ounce, inching closer to 1300 mark.
