ThinkMarkets Client Qualification Quiz

On the 31st March 2012 the Australian Securities and Investment Commission **(ASIC) released a Regulatory Guide aimed at improving disclosure to retail clients. Part of this strengthening regulation is the requirement for ThinkMarkets to assess the knowledge of any potential client to ensure that they understand the nature and risks of trading forex and CFDs. Before opening an account with ThinkMarkets,  all Australian clients with less that one (1) year of trading experience will be provided with instructions to complete the test.

Alternate Option: Provide Trading Statement

Provide a trading statement detailing your trading experience with another **ASIC registered forex and/or CFD broker. Send your trading statement to [email protected]

Or, Provide Course Completion Certificate

Provide evidence of completion of a trading course with an **ASIC registered training provider. Send your proof of completion to [email protected].

Regulatory Guide 227 (RG227) issued by the ASIC sets out 7 disclosure benchmarks for Over the Counter (OTC) foreign exchange products that are aimed at helping you understand the risks associated with foreign exchange products, their potential benefits and whether trading in foreign exchange products is suitable for you.

More information on all Benchmarks can be found here.
