What stock indices can I trade with ThinkMarkets?
ThinkMarkets offers CFDs on major global indices including the US30 (Dow Jones), Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, DAX 40, FTSE 100, ASX 200, Nikkei 225, and CAC 40. Each index gives you single-trade exposure to the performance of a basket of leading companies.
What is an index CFD?
An index CFD is a derivative that tracks the value of a stock index without requiring you to buy the underlying shares. You can go long if you expect the index to rise, or short if you expect it to fall, profiting (or losing) on the price difference.
What are the trading hours for indices?
Trading hours vary by index. Most major indices are available during their underlying market hours, with several offering extended cash CFD trading sessions outside of regular hours. Specific times are listed on each index's contract specifications page.
What's the difference between cash and futures indices?
Cash index CFDs track the spot price of the underlying index and typically have tighter spreads with no expiry. Futures index CFDs track the next-month futures contract, are subject to rollovers, and may better suit longer-term position holders.
