MT4 and MT5 rolls out important updates

MT4 and MT5 rolls out important updates

Metaquotes, the developer of the MetaTrader 4 and 5 trading platforms, has announced an important update for their users. To ensure uninterrupted access to the trading platform and its latest features, clients must update their terminal builds.

This mandatory update guarantees an enhanced trading experience and provides a more secure and efficient trading experience.

By 1st of December 2023, MT4 clients using client terminal builds below 1380 and MT5 clients with builds below 3802 will not be able to log in without updating their platform. To maintain your access, we encourage you to make the necessary updates before the deadline.

There are two ways to update your MetaTrader platform.

1. Enable automatic updates

Normally, MT4 and MT5 automatically check for updates when launched. If there is an update, a window will open prompting you to update. Once prompted, enable the option for automatic updates so your platform updates to the latest version when available every time.

2. Manually update your terminal

If you disabled or your device is incompatible with automatic updates, you will need to do this step manually. It’s simple, just follow these steps:

  • Uninstall your current MT4 or MT5 terminal from your device.

  • Log in to ThinkPortal. On the left side, click Platforms.

  • Download the latest version and follow the instructions to install.

If you need further assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our 24/7 multilingual client support team via live chat, email, or phone.
