In Thurday’s trading session in the local markets, the Top40 closed the day up by 0.33%. The Resources 10 sector went up by 0.77%, the Financial 15 went down by 0.26%, the Industrial 25 went up by 0.08% and lastly the South African Listed Property index up by 0.82%. The Rand traded at R14.37 against the United State Dollar, R19.96 against the Great British Pound, and R17.01 against the Euro.

On the commodities front, the Brent Crude oil is trading at $70.19 a barrel and WTI Crude oil traded at $68.03 a barrel. Gold Spot price is currently trading at $1813.30, Platinum Spot is now trading at $1014.93 and lastly, Palladium Spot price is at $2656.00.
Across the globe, the S&P 500 closed the day down 0.46%, Dow Jones closed up 0.92% and the Nasdaq had a 0.15% climb. The FTSE 100 closed up by 0.26% and the DAX was down 0.88% and CAC40 was up 0.33%. In the Asian markets, the Nikkei 225 is down 0.21% and the Hang Seng is currently up 1.25%.
